L.Z. in New York says: “Hi, This is in regards to my Suzuki motorcycle loan that was taken over by HSBC. My payments went from $89.00 per month to over $300.00 per month. I refinanced my house at a lower rate and paid off some of my bills. One of the loans I paid off was the motorcycle loan. When my refinance company contacted HSBC, they were told 4 different payoff amounts. They finally agreed on an amount and was paid about 1 month ago. Here is the problem I am now having with HSBC, I told them I am trading in my motorcycle and I need a statement on paper stating the loan was satisfied. Well after several calls to HSBC, the supervisor told me the document would be FAXED out October 16TH directly to my dealer and it would take 24 to 48 hours. Well, here we are well past that time and no document.

I called again today, I was now told that they don’t send out documents stating the loan was paid off. I could not believe how this company can do business. I was then told that they mailed out the title to me on Oct 20TH and would take 7 TO 10 days. I don’t know what to believe from these people any more. I belong to one of the largest motorcycle clubs on the east coast, over 3,000 members. I will make sure I tell everyone not to deal with Suzuki, Kawasaki, and especially HSBC. I will also put an ad in local and national motorcycle magazines.”
