Known as cold calling and often a violation of the ‘Do Not Call’ registry, HSBC’s Beneficial and Household Finance HFC divisions find it harder these days. Their names are equated with predatory lending and high interest rates. Unfortunately many Americans don’t recognize other names for these predators, such as Decision One Mortgage.
