One of the most profitable and largest banks in France, CCF was acquired by HSBC holding in Dec. 2000. CCF once used Click to Call to answer customer questions and expand online business.

As its name suggests, HSBC France (formerly CCF S.A.) represents the operations of big British bank HSBC in France. Rebranded in 2005, the company entails French banks Union de Banques, Banque de Picardie, and Banque Hervet, as well as CCF and a handful of regional banks. It offers retail and private banking services through some 330 branches throughout the country.

“Click-to-Call is a nice feature which HSBC can afford to offer around the world, but we don’t see it in their predatory lending areas any time soon” said Household – HSBC Watch, a consumer advocacy organization. “We could not tell if HSBC France still offers the service, but within HSBC Finance (predatory division formerly Household International) they make more money when the customer cannot talk to them” the group went on to say.
