TOP firms which have refused to donate £50 to a town’s Christmas lights display have been criticised. Petts Wood Business Association secretary Ken Patel says he is amazed by the lack of Christmas spirit shown by the branches of nationwide companies. So far HSBC has not donated a penny. “For all the money they take from shoppers and they won’t even give back £1 a week for the pleasure and spirit of the residents who pay their mortgage and bills.” said Patel.

Meanwhile on December 1,200 HSBC reported record profits across all divisions according to the Shanghai Daily. HSBC and Shanghai Daily? Why not - your HSBC is actually the Hongkong Shanghai Bank Corp.
