During the O’Reilly Factor HSBC aired a commercial for HSBC Direct. Claiming their savings account pays 4 percent, HSBC’s privacy statement also says they can share your information with predatory lending division HSBC Finance, and others. And HSBC Finance is the old Household International.

Watch for the possibility that more of HSBC’s merchants in the apparel industry may report more in a continuing string of losses. Higher fuel prices and less discretionary income, combined with credit cards from a predatory lender, may mean more dismal quarterly reports.
