HSBC registered as second foreign bank in Kuwait
KUWAIT, Sept 19 (KUNA) — Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait Sheikh Salem Abdel Aziz Al-Sabah declared on Monday that the HSBC bank was registered by the CBK as the second foreign bank to open a branch in the country.
In a press statement, Sheikh Salem said the registration of the bank, according to a decision issued on the 4th of this month, was in line with regulations that had been enacted in this regard, allowing the foreign banks to open branches in the country. HSBC is the second bank to be registered after BNB Bariba last March
