(For this full article see it here)

“I received a letter from my house insurance agent that I could not receive the best price because of my bad credit rating. I didn’t understand because we had not too long ago refinanced our house loan to get a better rate and they said our credit was A1. So I called the TransUnion Corporation and asked for a credit report.

“Everything was A1 except for one, which was HSBC Taxmasters. We have never had an account with them so I asked for an investigation. They said I should receive a reply in a month. Today I got a letter from my Discover Charge Card saying that they were increasing my rate from 11% to 18.4% because of my bad credit rating. They gave the name of the company they had checked with and it is the same one TransUnion. I tried to call TransUnion but it was closed so I checked on my computer under HSBC Taxmasters and found many of the same complaints.”
