HSBC re-introduces musical banking
09/06/2005 - 13:18:29 - British bank HSBC’s UK customers are to get the chance to tap their feet to music as they stand in queues for cashiers’ desks, it emerged today. Breaking with the tradition of a noiseless atmosphere in banks, HSBC is employing DJs to draw up playlists to be broadcast in 400 of its busiest branches across the UK.
“Meanwhile in the United States HSBC plays musical chairs with consumer’s credit scores. Bogus HSBC NV, HSBC RS, and HSBC Taxmasters entries on credit reports raised anger and horror with consumers” said watchdog group Household - HSBC Watch. “We have over 2000 reports in our database and that number increases daily” the group said. “And these people think they are introducing musical banking. Household International did that back in 1994 but the notes were off key.”
