Union Regrets Inconvenience - No Problem
David Fleming, national officer for the union, said staff were striking because a “derisory” pay offer had been imposed on them. “We regret any inconvenience to customers but the efforts we have made to resolve this dispute have fallen on deaf ears. The bank has simply refused to listen to its staff.”
Should David worry about inconvenience it can be had every day when working with HSBC Finance Corporation (formerly predatory lender Household International) said advocacy group Household - HSBC Watch. “If I had to sort through the myriad of complaints received today from all over the US, I would submit this one as today’s typical inconvenience by HSBC” said a member of Household - HSBC Watch.
“I’m a United States Marine. I was deploying to Iraq for the second time, I called and asked how I could set up my account while I was gone, because I had no checks at the time. The lady told me they would freeze my account, and when I got back all I had to do was send in a copy of my orders. When I got back I found out that they had my motorcycle up for repo. I called and they told me there was no such thing as stopping my account. So I was forced to refinace. They would not work with me at all. And 4 months later my new loan holder has not received my title.”
