Your company is the worst I have ever dealt with. I canceled my card after talking to your customer service rep who was not responsive to my needs.
I owned a payment of $10.00 which I tried to pay but due to your website updates your site was down on the 3rd of March 2006. When I went back to make a $100. payment on the 13th of March 2006 I found that my card had been taken from a $5000.00 limit to a $1600.00 limit. When I called to talk to a rep they told me there was nothing he could do that, that was the way you do business. I then told them they way I do business with a company like yours was to not do business with them.
I have had this card for almost 2 years, with no lates, the card is paid in full usually within a couple months of purchases and I was very dissapointed at the way I was treated.
I have credit cards from many different companies and I dont need one from a company that doesnt want my business. I will use my Wells Fargo Bank CC or my Washington Mutual CC instead. They both give me great limits and interest rates as well as being very easy to deal with.
In my opinion the mark of a good company is not that they dont have issues since they are run by people and people make mistakes I understand that things happen. The mark of a good company is they way they resolve the issues that do arrise. In Household Banks case they FAILED terribily and I will tell everyone I know to never use Household Bank and I will never use them again.
Ill take the credit hit for a few month by canceling the card so I do not have to deal some a company that does not want my business.
Anyone that reads this STAY AWAY FROM HOUSEHOLD BANK!!
