April HSBC Announcements

April HSBC Announcements

Consumer watchdog organization Household - HSBC Watch presents these changes for April within HSBC. In our opinion information from New York pertains to banking, while information from Prospect Heights Illinois pertains to the old troubled and disgraced predatory lender Household International, now called HSBC Finance Corporation, and should be categorized under finance companies. They are not bankers.

(all dates are 2005)

NEW YORK, April 21 — HSBC Bank USA N.A. has named Daniel A. Nissenbaum senior vice president and manager of community development/CRA. In this role, he will lead the bank’s Community Development Division and will oversee its community service, grant, loan and investment programs. The programs are concentrated in New York with regional offices in Florida, Delaware and California.
Said Loretta Abrams, HSBC - North America’s vice president for Community Development and Consumer Advocacy “Dan’s extensive experience in development and his relationships with the community and industry groups will be a great asset, and we are pleased to have him on our team.”

“Notice how HSBC tries to blend comments and quotes from New York and Household International” said Household - HSBC Watch advocates. “But if you call HSBC Bank and ask for an HSBC Retail Services telephone number they don’t even know them. Household International is still an embarrasment to true banking professionals.”
