HSBC Opens in Downtown Los Angeles
NEW YORK, Mar 24, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) — HSBC Bank USA, N.A. has opened its downtown Los Angeles office and West Coast headquarters at 660 S. Figueroa Street in Los Angeles as part of its continuing expansion in California. The bank recently opened its Pasadena office and has plans to continue to grow in the state.
“This is a Household International home coming” said watchdogs at Household - HSBC Watch. “The same CEO as 1999, when California sued on behalf of 36,000 Californians. When California followed up in 2002 they learned Household completely ignored them, the practices got worse, and the practices were passed on to their subsidiary Beneficial Finance.” the group said. “William Aldinger is, at least for now, the CEO with a new name, disguised by HSBC but by no means willing to abide by California rulings.”
