  1. As a long time Levitz Furniture customer, I am extremely disturbed at my recent experiences of charges based on the inability of Levitz and Houselhold not working hand in hand with my online payments and change of address request made in January.
I have over $100.00 in fees that are not justifiable…Nor are they caused by me. My 2/6/05 statement has 129.20 and the 3/6 29.00 late fees that are unjustified as I did not receive my bills as requested in January.

I will be contacting levitz by mail again to resolve the issued caued by your furniture retailer.

  2. I have been a client of retail services for years and have purchased several off road vehicles and have faithfully kept all my credit in perfect standing. I recently purchesed another motorcycle to find that not only was it a different household retail services that was billing me, but that I am unable to pay by phone untill it is late and that the account is not payable online being a loyal online payer I am noe forced with the descion, do i pay by phone and have it late? or do I mail it and have it be late? This is to the Carol Stream address, not the City of Industry statements i am use to. This is very displeasing and i will now definately transfer the balance to a more reliable dependable line of credit that I can trust like Providian after reading the comments that other people are having i too have had a terrible customer service from household but this new line tops the cake i am glad to know I am not the only one they are trying to get over on. GOOD LUCK TO ALL

  4. I have been a customer of Retail Services for several years and now that I am down to my last $56.00 in payment I am have difficulties making my payment to the company. I tried to pay online and it did not work. Now I’m forced to pay by mail and will be charged $39.00 late fee and will not be waived. This is unacceptable.

  5. HAVING JUST OPENED A NEW ACCOUNT WITH HBSC, I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED TO FIND THIS INFORMATION. ONLY AFTER HAVING PROBLEMS OF MY OWN WITH PAYMENTS HAVE I NOTICED WHAT AN UNTRUSTWORTHY COMPANY I AM DEALING WITH!!!!

  6. In 2003 I purchased a motorcycle through Suzuki Finance Corp. After one year the loan was sold to HSBC Retail Services. Unlike every other lender, I am not allowed to overpay my monthly payment. They deduct the extra money from the next month’s payment. After a few times of over paying, they won’t send you a bill once you have overpaid in the amount of a monthly payment. I tried to tell them that I wanted the extra money put on the principle, but they said that wasn’t possible and I could only pay on the principle+interest, which is totally wrong. I don’t have an early payoff penalty, so why can’t I pay extra and have a smaller principle to calculate interest from? I hate HSBC Retail Services. They are liars and crooks, and I’m sick of putting up with 2-bit bankers!

After using this company for our second Best Buy account and not having a problem the first time, we have experienced numerous problems and late fees with this company. I schedule all payments online only to find out that the payment isn’t being processed on the day it is scheduled. I paid the balance off in December 05 and received a late fee charge in Jan 06. The due date fell on a Saturday so I scheduled the payment for the due date. The company doesn’t process payments on the weekends or on Fridays after a certain time. So the consumer has to pay for this company’s unwillingness to process payments 7 days a week. If a payment is due on a certain date then the company should be available to process payments on the dates that they make payments due. I will never use this company again and am working on filing a complaint so that more consumers do not get ripped off by this company.

  8. I just wrote someone else about my problems with Best Buy and I’m drained. So, I will just say that this company, along with others, are taking money away from the public left and right, without any remorse. They get rich off of these fees they charge us. You would think they would hear your story out and be reasonable. But, no. They do not care. I’ll be very careful in the future about who I do business with, and make it a point to get the word out about companies that are inclined to treat their customers wrong.
    Thanks for listening.

  9. I was stuck with HSBC Retail Services through a purchase with SonyStyle. Since I will be overseas for a few years, I decided to transfer a couple credit card balances to one credit card, making it simple to handle bill payment while I’m overseas. Wouldn’t you know it, HSBC is the ONLY credit card company that has magically not been able to receive the balance transfer check after TWO attempts…If this isn’t a prime example of them making every effort to get all that deferred interest out of me, I don’t know what is. I don’t understand how this company is still allowed to remain in business!

  12. I got two credit cards issed by HSBC, one is a Sony card and the other their famous “Elite” MasterCard. Today for the first time since i got the Sony Card, i got rejected to my request for a increase in my credit line, my creditworthiness has not decline since my last increase, on the contrary, it has improve from 709 in TU to 740. This is the first time i got turn down by them. The excuse i got was that i had my last increase in March. I don’t know if that’s a valid excuse or an early indication of problems to come. I haven’t had a single problem with them, only with their MasterCard and for the same credit increase and high APRs reasons. You can see they’re trobule.
