ServerPrice is gone - Excessive Down Time

Once a backup for Household Watch, Server Price has been terminated. Six helpdesk trouble tickets remain open after 30 days with no reply.

Web monitoring service Site Uptime reported as shown here:

Below is your monthly uptime report November 2004
householdwatch.com
Outages: 8
Downtime: 32 hrs, 0 mins
Uptime: 95.55%

This report does not show the real truth about server price. For a combined total of over 48 hours throughout the month, serverprice.com did not display websites, but instead they showed the CPanel screen which said “no website at this address.” The monitoring service got a reply on port 80 and thought websites were up.

Total downtime or inaccessable websites for ServerPrice in November 2004 — OVER 100 Hours. Stay away from them. If a whois reveals Schneour Moyal — stay away from it. And if they tell you they will give you a refund — don’t expect to see it!

  1. I signed up with serverprice back in november 2004. My Webhost Manager was Never fully functional. They charged me for a ssl certificate which I did not order and I never received. They charged me for my domain name which I allready had. I thought it was odd that I never could get my site up and running. Well three days after signing up and no replies from tech support, I tried to cancel my subscription and get my money (They where supposed to have a 30 day money back guarantee). I figured I would not get my money back, but I at least tried to cancel. No matter how many e-mails or phone calls I made they never cancelled me. I had to change my credit card number to get to stop since my bank would not stop the charges. I still have not heard from them. Take my advice stay away from server price. just check this thread: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid351108
