In February 2003 my fiance & I took out 2 Suzuki 4-wheeler loans through GECF. We never missed a payment, or were late on any payments. In May of 2004 we received a letter from GECF stating they were beingh bought out by HRC and to destroy our coupon books as HRC would be sending us a statement from now on. I did this, however after 3 months I still did not receive a statement, and did not have a number or account number to get ahold owe anyone. Finally in August of 2004 we received our first statement, but found out we had been placed in collections for defaulting on our loans. When the collection rep contacted me, he was very nasty. SAcreaming & threatening. He stated that we owed for over a years worth of payments! Wheh asked what the pay off would be, he gave me a total, and it was higher than the original purchase price plus interest over the life of the loan! He could not answer to that. Finally at the end of August, we filed for bankruptcy. I told the collection rep he could come and get the *beep* 4-wheelers, as they were NEVER going to see a penny out of me. The bankruptcy was discharged in April of 2005. almost a year since we made our last payment to GECF. To this day (November 14,2005) We still have the 4-wheelers. HRS has not contacted us, nor returned any phone calls as to when they will be coming to get them. My lawyer is sending them a certified letter letting them know that they have until 12/31/05 to come & take possession or they will be sold. I know this much, I will NEVER do business with Suzuki, or any company that works with HSBC or HRS again. They are horrible.
