Topic Title: They wont let me pay!
My complaint is against Household Mortgage Services Inc (https://www.hsbcmortgageservices.com/hm/cchms_Home.jsp)
I am currently a customer with HSBC as they hold a second mortgage on my house. I had made arrangements over the phone to make my Sept. payment on the 29th of Sept. by way of a telephone payment. I called on the 29th to make my payment and recieved a recorded message saying that "All customer service representatives are currently busy" please try again later or some such nonsence. I have tried to call every day for the last 5 days to make the payment over the phone only to recieve the same message. I have also tried to make a payment online, but to no avail there either. It seems that the password I set up on the website is either no longer valid or I have forgotten the correct password. I tried to reset my password using the function on the site and was notified that I would have an e-mail within 24 hours with my password. It has now been almost 36 hours and no e-mail. I can not help but feel like I am reaching these road blocks on purpose. Like they are keeping me from making a payment in order to let late fees pile up or what ever else they can get away with. It all screams "Unfair trade practices" to me.

Hello I"m A Nj Jersey homeowner who is trying to get ride of this rip off mortgage company,HSBC they are trying to charge me A prepayment penalty ,which another lender is telling me is Illegal for a lender in another State to charge NJ Homeowner those Fees . Will Let Those who want to the outcome Soon. I Will Be Contacting the Deptpartment Of Banking and Finance With A formal Complaint.

Hi... I posted " Beneficial Finance Run Around For Deceased" Do you have a OFFICE near by? Can you call a "Local" number? Look in your Yellowpages. That might help. If not. Then I suggest you call MARTY MILLELA Director of Customer Relations at 1-800-685-5880 Ext. 3404 or Terry Washington at 630 758-3789. Call RIGHT NOW! Let me know. jjmbrat@comcast.net I am still upset with them and I want to sue them for DAMAGES. I need to find a LAWYER to help me sue for DAMAGES. If anyone knows on PLEASE email me. I am going to get these people for EVERYONE!!! Write to your Congressmen and Senators and State Reps. The Government needs to look at these practices by most LENDERS. Its time for a CHANGE!!!! WRITE THEM PLEASE! LETS ALL FIGHT THIS!

Thanks for the replies. There is no local office for me to call. I am refinancing so hopefully this will no longer be an issue. HSBC currently holds only my second mortgage. The thing that irritates me is that is obvious that they do not want me to be able to contact them. Every time I call or try to get on the website, I get the 'please try again later' message. They even call me so they can show that they have tried to contact me, but when I answer the phone they hang up! I know it is just so they can pile fees and penalties on what I owe. I hope the reifinance (which funds in about 24 hours) will get them out of my life for good.
