Topic Title: Suzuki, Insurance to Pay Off HSBC

I have had an account with HSBC Retail services since last may 2004 on a motorcycle loan i financed through Suzuki. I made all my payments on time and had no trouble with HSBC until about March of this year. I was hit by a car on my motorcyle, which the other party was found to be at fault for, and the bike was totalled. The insurance company of the party that hit me claimed my bike as a total loss and collected all the information from me about paying off the motorcycle.

Ever since then i have had nothing but trouble from HSBC. THREE checks have been issued to HSBC from the insurance company, after numerous phone calls to the insurance claims dept at HSBC in which adresses were confirmed. HSBC claims they never recieve the checks, and every time i call them to find out why, they give me a different excuse saying that thier standard postal service has problems, and that the checks need to be sent certified mail, or that i need to send the check attention somebody in the claims dept, so on and so on. The third check was reissued today w/ certified mail, but this is after my credit has basically been ruined because they say i havent been making any payments which is complete nonsense.

All the fault is on their side of the fence. It's not my fault that they cannot get their mailing problems in order. Those checks have been going somewhere, because the mail carrier has never returned them. It will be interesting to see what happens with this third check.
