The first problem I had is when I had a 12 month no interest plan.
Well on month 11 I recieved no statement.

Then the following month they added another 500 dollars in interest fee's back on my account. When I called and asked about it they said they sent the statement out. I only owed appproximately 200 dollars on the account and planned on paying it off.

I also purchased on a same as cash basis. I believed I had paid it off early and thought nothing of not receiving statements--until I checked my own credit and found the notation by HSBC/Best Buy that I was past due. I had excellent credit...and this is on there for 7 more years. I called them believing it was an error. HSBC claimed they sent statements but they all were returned. This, despite the fact that the PO Box address was good, I received the first statement just fine. I did process a change of address for my new home, but my PO Box was held for four months after my move, and all other mail was received without error. They said the post office was to blame, and they still would deserve and collect penalties, late fees, higher interest, and all the back interest unless I can prove it was their fault. How am I going to do that? Why is the burden mine? I think HSBC purposely did not mail my statements to the correct address so that they could collect their extra fees and penalties. They had no regard for me as a person or my credit. They had my phone numbers during this six-month period and never called once. They said they had no obligation to do so. They have no ETHICAL obligation to their customers?
