Topic Title: Slow payment processing = late fees

I have mailed payments to Suzuki HSBC 5 days prior to the due date (I live 300 miles from the payment center) and they find a way to make it late. My payment was due on the 30th (was a Saturday) and I mailed the payment on the 26th and they did not credit my account until the bank paid the check.

I thought this was illegal or did the goverment change that behind our backs also? They are holding on to the checks or slow processing them and charge us a late fee. That is just wrong. Who do you file a complaint with?
