Topic Title: Predatory HFC is Suing Me Now

A similar situation has happened to me regarding late payments with huge finance charges assessed on my Household (HFC) account, including a large payment made and they have taken this payment as an additional debt.
Got the records from HFC due to a request for production of documents in a lawsuit by HFC against me. Need legal help.
I bet this is a possible RICO case. Please contact me asap, as I have less than 65 days prior to trial to respond to their motion for summary judgment and summary adjudication.
(I am being sued by HFC California. They claim breach of contract on a live check solicitation that I cashed in 8/00. Payments were made and a large sum was paid to HFC in 8/01 and they posted it as a payment and at the same time added a finance charge to this sum alleging I still owed this money. I need help in preparing an opposition to Plaintiff (HFC) motion for summary judgment and summary adjudication. Please help.)

I am currently in a similar situation with HFC threatening to sue me. I cashed one of their checks two years ago. How long did they wait before suing you, and do you know what the best course of action is?
