Topic Title: Polaris sales pitch not true
In buying our Polaris we were told with our interest rate and payment we would have our quad paid of in a few years. We put a large amount down and ended paying on it for a years, and we only paid around $10.00 or less to the bike a month out of a payment of only $66.00. It would of took us 10 or more years to pay it all. Also, We would recieve late fees when our payments were not late or our payments would not be put on our account at all. They charge $15.00 fee to pay the bill a $37.00 fin. charge and dont allow you to pay on your account with a credit card or debit card. So to make make monthly payment of $66.00 to hsbc its costs me around $55.00. We ended up having to use everything we had to pay of in full, $2490. Then when we were $35.00 short because of the fin. charge the wanted to charge us another 15.00 on top of that to pay the bill. so it might cost me another 50 just to get away from them.
I had over and over tried to pay by online site to no avail and end up being charged late fees of 35.00 mostly each month for the last year due to me not being able to pay online. I talked to a DAVID at HSBC (a supervisor) and all he said he would take 20.00 off my late fee charges and not all of it. I bought a polaris jet ski in 2003 and it seems to me i am paying them for the promotional rate that i agreed to low interest but as long as i have to pay 35.00 each month for so-called late fees there goes my low interest rate. This practice should be against the law because when i see that the payment online didn't go through i have to send it by my banks online payment center and they still say its late even when it was sent to them from Amsouth online banking 4 days before its due. What's up with this company and how come there has not yet been a class action law suit against them?
Hello, Neighbor!
I also live in the state of Tennessee! Do you remember the $484 million dollars settlement of Household International? The attorney general in each state found Household International guilty of predatory lending in the year of 2002. Well, HSBC bought Household International. In others words they bought trouble.
Household International is HSBC! HSBC has past on their predatory lending skills to not only their mortgage scams, but also their credit card scams, and retail financing scams.
I have written to Mr. Paul Summers(our ATTORNEY GENERAL) about Household International(HSBC). I can't seem to get his attention. My family and I were victims of the predatory lending mortgage scam! If you could write to Mr. Paul Summers and let him know about HSBC! There were 13,000 Tennesseans affected by Household International's lending. There should be another lawsuit against HSBC, but this time lets make sure that the lawsuit be beneficial to all the victims! The $484 million dollars lawsuit was a joke! Many victims did not receive much money. Many even lost their homes foreclosure.
Write to the news media, Mr. Paul Summers, The OCC, The Dept. of financial Institutions. If we could get more people from Tenn, involved maybe we could set a trend for other states. After all HSBC is sending their poison across this country and overseas. If we stand as one we are the medicine to kill the poison and stop the financial pain.
Household Watch is a great Website and I thank God for it! I glad to see someone else from Tenn. write about HSBC! My family is free from HSBC! My goal is to give others support and help fight against the damage that this company can cause!
