Topic Title: Payoff quote changed, still owe $52 after amount paid

My fiancé and I financed a Yamaha Banshee through Retail Services in 2002. Recently, we decided to sell it and pay it off. When we sold it, we called and got a payoff quote and mailed an official check priority mail the next day for the full amount. According to the postal service, Retail Services received it two days later. Meanwhile, we are waiting on the lien termination statement so that we can pass it on to the buyer and he can register the quad with the state and get the title transferred over. It had been a couple of weeks since I paid it off, so I called Retail Services again to request the lien termination statement only to find out that they are now saying that we owe another $52.
The payoff quote that was given to us was supposed to have been good until the beginning of July and we paid them on June 10! Now the poor guy that bought it is still waiting to get the title transferred over into his name and we supposedly owe Retail Services another $52! Additionally, it took two or three times that we had to change our address with them before they actually started sending our bills to the correct address.
We monitor customer trends for possible violations of Regulation Z and other possible illegal actions.
