Topic Title: Never submitted online payment to credit union

Retail Services charged me a $29 returned check fee in March 2005. I made this payment via their telephone payment system. They said my credit union rejected the payment due to me entering an incorrect account number. I contacted my credit union and they told me that the Routing Number and the Account Number that I entered was correct. I was missing a 2-digit identifier. My credit union stated that this missing identifier would not result in a returned check. The payment would just be processed manually. My credit union said that no attempt was made by Retail Service to process my payment. I have requested, on 3 separate occasions, spanning 2 months, to have Retail Services send me proof that they attempted to collect a payment from my Credit Union and that my Credit Union rejected their request. They have been unable to provide this proof to me. They still refuse to refund my $29 fee even when they are unable provide proof of a returned check.
