Had a 0% interest Levitz card, and the last payment was in the mail two weeks before it was due. Levitz, or HNBC held the payment until it went past due, and charged all of the interest from the furniture on top of it. They refuse to take any responsibility on their end. The only proof we have is the date that the check was written. I think this is an under-handed and deceptive approach to earning extra money from customers.

I had a $35 balance and paid it off. They did not post it until after it was late and charged a late fee. The next month my balance was again $35. I called them and complained and was assured this wouldn't happen again. It did happen again, in fact 2 more months in a row. I thought it was all finally resolved and fixed after I paid off the balance for the 4th time in a row (total $140). Never recieved any more bills. In checking my credit report 3 years later, my account still shows a balance of $35 and has been "charged off" meaning they couldn't collect it from me therefore my credit has been damaged. Levitz furniture has really blown it by using this company. They have lost many customers because of this. I am extremely bitter.
