Topic Title: HSBC Run Around - Poor Service

I attempted to pay off a promotional no interest balance 1 month before the promotion expired through a balance transfer with another low interest account. Incidently, the check was returned to the transfered account on the exact date that the promotion expired.

I contact HSBC and was told that if i can prove that i attempted to pay off the account prior to the promotion expiring, the interest accumulation would be credited. (This was told to me by a manager, I have his name and extension.) Of course, i sent all of the needed information to the company to verify the attempt to pay it off.

They are refusing to credit my account the interest accumulation and of course, the manager i spoke to is no where to be found. I asked for to speak to various levels of the chain of command and was told that someone would call me back. Here I sit 1 week later with no phone call, still unable to locate the original manager that informed me of the credit and of course i still owe the interest accumulated.
