Topic Title: HSBC RS Took Money From Bank Account

I've just looked at my bank account and on 11-18-2005 HSBC RS took WEB OnlinePmt of 74.00 right out of my bank account. I never asked for this card. I have no idea how this happened. I got a statement in the mail. There is a zero balance on the card, but a $99.00 charge to have the card....Is the $74.00 to keep the account? How dare these people go into my bank account and take money. Who are they?

Recieved in US Mail a notice from HSBC Retail Services, PO Box 280 , Wood Dale Il 60191, a notice of "changes to your cardholder agreement and disclosure statement".
They gave me no other information on which credit card or Merchant the card was obtained from. Front of envelope had numbers 2 14968 T845 P1*******auto**3-digit 917 followed by my name and address. IS SOMEONE USING A CREDIT CARD WITH MY NAME ON IT? I DO NOT RECOGNIZE HSBC!

I'm reviewing my credit report and I found a credit card number with HSBC/RS opened 09/99. I have never heard about it. I wish to cancel this account but no telephone number!
