Topic Title: HSBC - paid $2100 for a $900 computer
When I was 18 years old, I needed a computer for college. I went to best buy and financed one, with their no interest HSBC credit card. I was told I made a delinquent payment at the end of my 12 months of free interest, when I attempted to pay off the final balance. Since then I have been paying this company, I recently graduated college and have found a great job. I payed off the entire bill with my first pay check, it was something like $600.00, and the computer I purchased 4 years ago was only $900.00.
I received a bill that said I owed $2.09, I sent the payment in through their website and just received a bill from them for $30.00. The bill explained that I bounced a check for $2.09. I know I got screwed in the passed by them, but I payed them off, I kept up my end of the bargain with them, I even let them charge approx. $2100.00 for a $900.00 computer.
I refuse to pay them the $30.00 they claim I owe them. So now I am sitting on the phone waiting for a customer service representative to pick up. (It's been thirty minutes), Is their anything else I can do?
