Today I pulled my credit report and to my surprise I found two negative accounts on my report. Both are for HSBC, one is HSBC/RS and the other is HSBC/NV. I have never heard of this company or have I ever had two cards for these amounts.

I am lucky I checked my credit report, but I am really upset, due to the damage both these accounts have done to my credit.

I contacted HSBC and they can not find anything under my name or SS#, I contacted the credit agencies to let them know of this, but I am not sure where to go from here.

Any advice?

I just obtained my credit report and HSBC/RS has shown up. It does not show anything delinquent or negative, but I have no idea who they are. When I called, I was told that I am not in their system and to just contact the credit bureau.

Editor's Note: When you contact the credit bureaus they must contact the creditor. The creditor has 30 days to respond. The customer service representative just found an excuse not to do anything for this customer.

I have never knowingly had an account with HSBC, and I have great credit. But they are showing up everywhere on my credit report. Shows 12/99 on a revolving account and "Too new to rate." Too new? Six years for an account I never had.
