We are refinancing and 3 months ago this was not on our credit report and now it is for 1423.00 of 42.00 a month and we never signed up for anything in this past year. How do we get this off our credit report?

Report that you may be the victim of identity theft with at least one of the three major credit bureaus – Equifax (www.equifax.com or 800-685-1111), Experian (www.experian.com or 888-397-3742) or TransUnion (www.transunion.com or 800-888-4213). That bureau is required to notify the other two.

Many people have asked about HSBC NV and it is well covered in this thread. Reports indicate that those who complain directly to HSBC about items on their credit reports are told to contact the credit reporting agencies. In reality you may contact HSBC also. If you do please send your letter with delivery confirmation from the postal service. Here is their address:

I do not know where this account came from but I never opened it. Obviously by the small amount owed never used it. I cannot seem to get any type of information on it from HSBC yet it still keeps reporting as a collection account. It is bringing down my credit score. I have never received any information about its existence or why it was put into collections. I want to know how to get all of this removed from my credit report immediately as it is lowering my score monthly. I feel like another victim of credit harrassment.

A recent credit report shows an outstanding balance to some unknown creditor named HSBC NV for $ 475.00 dollars. I don't know what this is?
