BTW - I have a credit card with BestBuy, which is Household Bank. A couple of weeks ago, I got a letter in the mail stating my credit limit with them had been reduced by $200. I have filed another online dispute with Experian. I am going to wait a couple of weeks and then call them if I haven't heard from them. I desperately need this removed from my credit report. This is really hurting my credit score!

I too found HSBC NV on my report without knowledge of what it was about. After several phone calls to several phone numbers here is what I found out. They apparently are the parent company of several store credit cards. The FINAL phone number to find out more information was 800-651-5108. They provided the information I needed. Mine turned out to be for a Union gasoline credit card (and an open acct of an ex from over 6 yrs ago) Anyways they provide me with the info I needed and I had to then contact all 3 credit agencies to get the info off my credit report.........still waiting to see the results...keep your fingers crossed. Hopefully this will help some of you. Apparently even though when we divorced and I was removed from the account as a user, HSBC NV did not report this and therefore it still shows up...guess they don't report as they should. Good Luck!

Wow, this is a great website. My troubles with HSBC Nevada most likely began in Jan05 (60 minutes ago, I thought it was June05). I ATTEMPTED to xfer a Radio Shack balance to GM Master Card. Well, it wasn't until I reviewed my credit report in late February AND I received a collection notice from radio Shack did i learn the xfer failed, this of course after contacting GM Customer Service AGAIN. Their excuse: insufficient credit. However, I had enough capacity to effect the transfer. After reading the messages within this forum, It becomes suspect the Balance xfer failed intentionally. Bottom Line: I'm going to attempt a resolution to this and other problems with the Vendors (GM and HSBC) before seeking third party assistance-

Therefore, does anyone have advise?

Thanks in advance-

hsbc nv shows up on my credit report right before i am all ready to buy a condo. so i called them since i wasnt mine. the report states i applied for credit card on the month of april and credit line is $7,000.00 and i spent $3500.00 and no money is due.

so i called the customer service 1-800-365-0175 and gave them my ssn since i did not have any account # (how could i ). they said my account is not poping up with social meaning there is an error someplace.

customer service gave me a fax # 1-800-421-3227 and told me to fax my concerns to HSBC research dept and most likely they will take it off the credit report.

WHY THE WORLD I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS ................
