did anyone find out what hsbc nv is? i have a 2,000 dollar charge and hsbc operators are not very helpful ghett0g0ld@aol.com get back to me

HSBC NV is the old Household International, now owned by HSBC, thus HSBC NV. The bank is in Nevada, and is used to issue credit cards such as private label credit cards. See the fine print in a Best Buy contract as an example. HSBC- NV is regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, which is the administrator of all national banks. The OCC can be reached by using the "Regulators" menu at the top of this page.
Merchants that use HSBC-NV for private label credit cards are seen at the bottom of this page. There are over 60 merchants in the HSBC private label credit card program. HSBC Finance Corporation, which is the old troubled predatory lender Household International, can be called at 847-564-5000 for more information or a specific phone number for HSBC-NV.

I'm trying to contact HSBC NV. My wife's credit report just came in the mail and she's upset because she never opened an account with the company. PLS Help

I actually pay a monthly fee to a credit reporting agency just to see whats up with my credit, and get notices of activity. Well it payed off and I see that HSBC NV has a standing account with me with a standing balance of 0 dollars. I googled the name and found you guys I would appreciate any direction as to closing this account as I NEVER OPENED IT. I hope for a speedy response thank you.

HSBC refers to HSBC Bank's purchase of Household International in October 2002. The deal was finalized in early 2003, thus some articles claim HSBC purchased Household in 2003. Recently many customers want the phone number for HSBC NV.
