Topic Title: HSBC - Never Notified Mortgage Holder

We never received any paperwork or statements from HSBC to be made aware that they had purchased our loan. We originally made the loan through lendingtree.com.
When we called Lending Tree, they just told us to wait. We finally received a phonecall out of the blue months later demanding approx. $700 in back payments and late fees. We have never been able to catch this loan up and they do nothing but harrass us and it is their FAULT they sent us NOTHING!!! Please help!!

I'm sorry that you are having trouble with HSBC! When we had a mortgage with Beneficial, we never received a statement each month. The only thing we received each month was a statement for the revolving loan.
Beneficial and Household Finance has a history of not sending statements each month. I don't know why the Attorney General in each state has not done more to help people who are having trouble with HSBC or who had trouble in the past.
I have written are State Representative about Household International or HSBC. I also told him about this website. Hopefully I will hear from him soon. Even though we no longer have a mortgage with Beneficial, my goal is try to help others.
We monitor customer trends for possible violations of Regulation Z and other possible illegal actions.
