Topic Title: HFC is still the same

We purchased a home and had our mortgage with a bank. For us to take out a small loan we had to refinance our home with HFC to get the loan and also had to have my parents as cosigners. To make a long story short--the city has purchased our home for a new truck route and to pay out HFC we had to pay a loan penalty of 1008.00 for HFC to close out the mtg.

We purchased the home for 65,000 and we ended up owing 71,000 plus the penalty. We paid them for 3 years so if I can do the math why can't they? How did we end up paying more than we borrowed. Now due to our financial situation we are now 288 day in arrears and they want to foreclose on my parents home for 1900.00 in arrears on a 15,000 dollar loan.

The branch manager in our city has a solution to fix this problem but the HFC headoffice in another city does not want to hear about it. So instead of having one family homeless they now want 2 families homeless.

Their tactics are 3rd world-harrassement, cohersion, threatening, manipulation, and the biggest claim is that it is not our problem--we just want you to suffer. So does anyone have a solution for us?

This falls under HSBC as HFC and HSBC Mortgage Corporation, Inc. Thanks for telling the general public about your experience with this lender. They specialize in loans to people with less than perfect credit.

Did you fall into that category or did they take you there? Did you feel like they were doing you a favor by loaning you money, or did you think it was a regular professional transaction where they were going to act like professionals instead of predators?

These questions and many more can be brought to the attention of others considering a loan with HSBC Mortgage Corporation and HSBC North America. Remember, the CEO is Aldinger, once the CEO of troubled lender Household International.

See what good that wonderful "settlement" did? NOTHING.

It was deliberately formulated to be a slap on the wrist. Try a web search on Household/HSBC/Best Buy Complaints and look at the thousands made AFTER the settlement and AFTER Household agree to "change its ways".

What a joke.
