Topic Title: Escape Motors - my title escapes too

Post

I bought my 2003 Suzuki Intruder motorcycle from Escape motors in September 2003. The account was started with GECF, and later transferred to HSBC April 15, 2004. I paid the remaining balance in full by October 29, 2004 and have yet to receive my title.

HSBC claims to have sent it, yet I have not received my title. Today's date is March 15, 2005. I want my title.

I purchase a motorcycle in Mar 2003, and secured the loan thru HRS USA for 4-5 years. in any event, I paid it off in full in Dec 2004. I have since then requested the title to the bike 7 times, have been told it is on the way to me, only to find out with each follow up that they "can't find it", and that "I could go get it myself". Their title department refuses to return my phone calls and faxes, and I am sick of it. I satisfied my part of the bargain, and paid them $9000 in full, they need to get my title to me. it is not my job to go get it, take off work, and inconvenince myself. It is now June 17th and I still have no title. They are demonstrating the worst customer service I have ever seen.

Thanks

In March, 2005, I received an offer from "Corporate Receivables" another division of HSBC Retail Services, to pay off my motorcycle loan at a reduced rate. I was told this offer was only good for 48 hours, and I complied by sending the payoff the next day. I was told I would receive the title (pink slip) within 10-15 days of this payoff. Today, it is June 18, 2005, 3 MONTHS LATER, and I have not received the title. I have called Retail Services many times.

While they acknowledge I have done everything required on my end to recive the title, I just keep getting stalled, or passed to another person who is more condescending, and less help.
Can anyone help to offer suggestions on how to prod Retail Services into returning my title?
Thank you very much.
