I recently bought a credit report/ monitoring service from eloan.com. On my report is 2 outstanding accounts with HSBC/RS for $199.00 and $158.00. I didnt recall any of these accounts and so I called HSBC and talked to a representative who told me that there are no record of me having any accounts with them. I have never had a best buy card or any cards for that matter. I have 1 credit card with Chase and thats it. This is totally screwing up my credit and on my credit report it says that I will not be approved for buying property unless I get it resolved. But I have had absolutely nothing to do with HSBC/RS services ever. Can you please help me and send me some info on how I can get this resolved and off my credit report for good. Thanks

I don't have a horror story. It's just that two accounts shown as HSBC/RS and HSBC are appearing on my credit bureau reports. I would like them closed but I don't know who to contact.

Can you advise me.

You will need to write to each of the credit reporting companies. Mailing address and sample letters are located at http://householdwatch.com/wp/category/credit-bureaus/

Use the name of the creditor and account number as it appears on the credit report provider. Keep a copy of your letter and any replies for your records.

We have mailing a customer service mailing address in our Questions FAQ section. http://householdwatch.com/faq/

I recommend you close the account and follow the instructions. If you call the customer service representative and they follow normal computer program default to close the account, your credit report may show that the account was closed by the creditor. That comment looks bad on your credit report.
