Topic Title: Denied Best BUy Card, Received HSBC Gold Mastercard
I recently applied for and was denied a Best Buy card. I asked for a limit of $500.00.
Today, I receive a HSBC Gold Mastercard with a $1000.00 limit and a $35.00 annual fee.
I never agreed to or even requested a HSBC Mastercard or any other card from HSBC with the exception of the Best Buy card.
I feel that this is a way to *beep* people by charging exessive interest rates and apply a $35.00 fee to people without their knowledge.
I guess now, I have to monitor my credit report to make sure HSBC doesn't *beep* that up, too.
Well when i think when i ran my credit application they told me to sign here and here, i read it and said nooo way jose what kinda crap you runnin here, i FORCED the employee and his manager to tell me exactly what they were, they pointed out to me that there IS an annual fee and the interest rates can change depending on your credit and IS a 40% approval rate, well you know what...i didnt sign it...
BUT the guy above this post certainly did!
