Topic Title: Best Buy Credit Card and Dual App Mastercard

I bought a computer at Best Buy in Rockville on Aug. 7, 2005.

I applied for the Best Buy credit card, which is showing up in my credit report.

The Equifax report (from Aug.11) also shows an inquiry from HSBC NV.

I contacted HSBC, where the representative simply told me that they CANNOT reverse the process and that I signed an authorization with Best Buy. She directed me to Best Buy.

At Best Buy, the representative told me that I signed an agreement to get HSBC Mastercard. However, in the store in Rockville, I was NEVER told I was signing an agreement to get the Mastercard.
