Topic Title: Best Buy and "Retail Services" No Response

We sent a letter in Nov 2004 asking about bogus late fees on the bill. Only $100 remained on the account of a $1300 balance. $200 in rebates were denied as 10 days late. That was ok. A response was not received for Nov So I sent the check marked paid in full on Dec 10. This was a year before the 2yr interest free was to be due. Then they cashed my check and proceeded to claim I was late for November and December 2004 when I had bought it in a mad rush on 12/24/2003. Now credit is totally zapped for the last four months in big red as not paying. They have sent two"we are reviewing it letters in the last two weeks" meanwhile my credit report is DOA. Citibank parent school loans use Equifax who ironically does "not accept consumer complaints" and the box for Transunion is no longer.

Where is the class action suit against Best Buy and "Retail Services" ? How can a company survive in America and operate like they were in Nazi Germany?
