Two weeks ago I purchased a couple of pieces of furniture for my bedroom from Art Van, paid in full over $1300. They delivered the furniture on Friday 29th, 2005 after they delivered, I checked the furniture over and the junk was falling apart. The chest back which was made out of paper was stappled and some of the stapples had gone through the paper which had ripped and the back was falling off. The same thing on the back of the headboard for the bed. The platform for the bed was scratched and beat up. Look as if someone had taken a hammer to it! I called immediately to the sales person who sold me the furniture and told them to come get it and return my money. He had a manager call me and I explained to her about the furniture and told her to come and get it. She told me that it couldn't be picked up until May 14th. I told her I wanted my money back and her comment was it will be returned 7-10 business days. I talked with them again yesterday wanting to know where my money was and her comment was "the refund wont' be sent out until after the furniture is picked up 7-10 business days." I told her I expected my money when they picked up the furniture that's what they wanted before it was delivered now they are playing a game with me. What a rip off. They do not put on any papaer work or website who to contact at their corporate office to complain. I am so disgusted with this company. I told them I did not want to be charged by them with any damage that was already on this furniture after it has been at my house for over 2 weeks now!!
