I too was recieving calls from these people and we first thought scam...then identity theft...turns out there is another person with my name living in this state and Household bank took it upon themselves to look up a number (mine) and apply it to this persons account. I would like to find out if this is a lawful practice. The helpful customer service lady had my number taken off (finally!) and made note of my call. Inteligent people can usually navigate the beaurocratic system without too much difficulty, It is annoying to seem how many far left ignorants there are that think because they do not know how to do something it is corrupt, go find your local social worker...maybe they can help you.

Just got a call myself. The guy was very rude. It's Sunday morning 10am. Was looking for my wife and when I refused to give him any info, he became upset. I told him to get a real job then he got really mad.
I too have been subject to phone calls starting from 8 am and end at 8:30 pm. I even had my car repossessed! As a result I am having difficulties trying to refiance or obtain a loan to rid myself of HSBC. Any suggestions of any other companies out there wanting the business of HSBC customers?
These corporate *beep*-suckers just hit me up too. They started calling Saturday on a cell number that belongs to the company I work for. By the end of the day my cell had no less than ten missed calls. End of Sunday; twenty. I had no idea, and still have very little concept of who the *beep* these people are. I've never had any business with them and don't know who they think they're calling for. Nor can I comprehend what urgent manner of business would justify twenty phone calls in two days.
After having some fun with them, reciting long-winded quotes from my favorite cartoons, and pitching them an online service by which they might sell their internal organs "LIVE, over the internet," I came to the end of my interest in the swine.
I only spoke to them seriously once, which is more than any unprovoked, unsolicited, war-dialer *beep* deserves. I started to tell them that they had the wrong number and that the number they've been dialing is a business line and not to call back... ever... and they hung up on me mid-sentence. Only to call back two minutes later. At which point I handed the phone to the owner of the business who made short work of the pee-on's and never did they ring my phone again. (Not yet, anyhow.)
What irresponsible capitalist whores this America begits who would war-dial unconfirmed phone numbers relentlessly without concern nor care of ethic for their prying misdeeds. Let the streets run red, I say. And to the brick and mortar of their minions cubical *beep*, a flame to scorch away the unclean vapors of their erstwhile stench.
