Hello, Annie!
I understand that you don't want to step on your lawyer's toes. By reading what you have stated, I can tell she really is concern about your situation. Your lawyer really cares about you and your family. Household (HSBC) needs to stop lying. Your lawyer is working on getting things in order!

The truth will come out! Not only on their bankruptcy fraud, but other things as well. My husband and I have been through quite a bit dealing with Household(HSBC). Sometimes people don't understand what you are going through until they become a victim of predatory lending themselves.
Household(HSBC) had treated people badly for too long. When the truth comes out, the company is going to have a great fall. All the CEO's, Vice President, and all the executive men will not be able to put the company back together again!

Peaches ... you seem like such a nice person. I hope that you are right about Household eventually falling apart, but to be honest with you, I am afraid that corporations this big sometimes do fall through the cracks in the system. Look at the Enron scandal. Hundreds of people lost their retirement money. The people running the company got into trouble eventually, but the employees still lost everything. It seems to me that Household knows every loophole available for their benefit, and they are making such insane amounts of money on the interest they receive from these bad loans. The fines or legal fees barely make a dent. I think that $484 million settlement was a drop in the bucket for them. If it truly did hurt them financially to do what they do, then they would have to stop. I have been so shocked and disappointed that these kinds of things happen in THIS country. I thought that we were a little more protected than we are. Anne

Hello, Annie!
I'm been trying to get in touch with Mr. kline Preston! He is a very busy attorney. Please wish me luck! I want to fight for the victims who have lost their homes because Household(HSBC). I have filed a complaint with The Dept of Financial Institutions, FTC, The Attorney General, our Mayor, our Governor, Our State Representative, and of course our President! Seem like not to much has changed. Even after the settlement, some of Household(HSBC)'s predatory lending victims filed for bankruptcy and lost their house in a foreclosure. I think if you have lost your house because of them something should be done. That is what I want to talk to Mr. Preston about. What can be done?

We have filed complaints with Household(HSBC). They have an excuse for everything that they had done. It is as though, they have a good reason for doing what they did to us. When in fact, there is no good reason. I even have a statement from The Household Resolution Dept., saying "Beneficial has not engaged in lending practices that would be considered predatory." Is this person in denial or what?

Household Watch, is it true that you cannot receive any legal help or sue Household/Beneficial after you have signed the settlement agreement? Seems like if Household(HSBC) knew you signed their settlement agreement, they feel like they can treat you any kind of way. What can we do?

I know in my statements, I try to sound like such a trooper. When in fact I know Anne you are telling the truth. Household knows every trick and every excuse so they don't have to help their victims. I know it is very hard to prove a case. Especially when you are trying to prove a billion dollar company has done something wrong. They can afford the best lawyers in the country. Now that the class-action bill has been signed. To me it will be even harder. I think about the Enron case, it is terrible happen to the employee's retirement.

I know in my heart, we can't give up! It is hard moving forward after you feel like you have been violated. We are trying to move forward with God's help. With God help, all of us who have been victims of Household/Beneficial will make it. I pray eventually, all of us will be homeowners again. I know it is going to rough starting over. Household Watch, Anne, Jennifer, Barbara and others---May God Bless Each and Everyone Of You and Keep You In His Care!

Hi Peaches. I am glad that you are still trying to raise awareness. I have no new news to report, so I haven't posted anything. But I will as soon as I hear something. Signing the settlement does prevent people from suing over that mortgage. But I don't think it prevents me from suing over false IRS reporting or false credit bureau reporting. They are violating the discharge order, and bankruptcy laws. We'll see what happens. I'm hoping they will report correctly without having to go through litigation. Thanks for the support. Anne
