K in Ohio said: “I too am having trouble. I was laid of from my job and paying an adjustable rate is impossible. My adjustable rate went up 4 times in the past 3 years. I could afford the payments before I was laid off but not now. I get less than half my weekly wages on unemployment. I tell everyone I know not to go to HSBC. They hate their customers and want to help them loose their homes. Well I guess we’ll all have to get used to living in our cars.”

PS in New York said: “HSBC is out of hand with thier interest rate on credit cards and annual fees. They hit me with a $59 annual fee that I dont remember paying in the past and that put me over the limit on a $300 limit credit card. Then HSBC charged me an over limit fee of $30, and wont even discuss it.
AS in Utah says: “HSBC reporting still open on my credit report and harming my chance to have good score, even though I closed my credit card they were the backers of in 2000. How can I get them off my credit report? Also, no way to contact them to do so.”
LC in Georgia said: “This week we lost our son to a tragic accident. When I went to the Kawasaki plcea in Claxton to pay off my 4-wheeler it was terrible. The reception was very unkind, they would not take our check. Now the payment won’t get to HSBC retail services on time, I would need to pay an additional $39.00. I have always paid way over what was needed and have been paying $1000.00 per month lately. Now I have a late charge. HSBC would not even let me pay on-line.”
KB in Washington said: “HSBC is closing all of its local HFC branches, and they are not helping consumers. I initiated payment agreements with HSBC which they chose to dishonour and sell my accounts to collection agencies without my knowing about it. HSBC does not communicate well with its customers.
