Sent a fraud report to HSBC corporate over 2 months ago. No response has been received. As the fraud continues, so do late charges and false statements regarding delinquency in payments. 7 months of being jerked around by their losing information repeatedly, refusing to accept fax data, breach of agreements that had been concluded by their reps, and felony fraud in violation of federal electronic payment settlement regulations.

DB in New York said: “I see that I am not the only one to have HSBC go into my bank account and withdraw money illegally. On 1/28/09 HSBC went in to my bank account and took out every penny in my account. The amount they took was $2,700.00 dollars. There was no authorization given to them by me. Now all my normal withdrawls such as homeowners insurance and car insurance have bounced. Not only does it make me mad that they can do this without any recourse but knowing that my bank lets them do it really ticks me off. Now my bank account has a negative $1,000 dollar balance and I’m going to be paying that off for months. What makes me even more angry is that the American government allows them to do this to people. My guess would be that HSBC gives a lot of money to the two parties.”

This was out of nowhere…I actually had to pull out magnifying glass to make sure I wasn’t seeing things!! When I called GM Flexcard, I asked why did you raise the interest rate HSBC’s reply was “It’s a business decision” they refused to lower the interest rate or to give me any other explanation as to why ESPECIALLY since I have always paid on time – that they did this to me.

BC in Pennsylvania said: “HSBC is the WORST bank I have ever dealt with. Amongst many horror stories, here are the latest TWO: In Dec 2008, I asked for a wire transfer to FLORIDA for $8,000. They sent it to a bloke in Venezuela…Assistance, help, etc., YOU MUST BE KIDDING, this is HSBC Panama. NO ONE CARED!!! It took 3 weeks to resolve. I had to pay the fees; and they NEVER offered to credit my account as would a REAL bank would especially since it was THEIR error.
