CP in Maryland said: “This company violated the FTC act when trying to contact me at work. Not only did they harass me, but they harassed a secretary and my supervisor. One specific person, James, who was the harasser, complains that you have an attitude when you try to reason with him. He told me they looked up the value of one of my relatives homes and suggested I borrow money from them, which is also illegal for him to do. This company has had a settlement because of failure to abide by FTC rules and harrasing people. The settlement was for $240,000! CB in Georgia said: “I paid online for Davids Bridal which is through HSBC. They did not get my payment because according to my bank they did not send enough numbers to match my account number so the bank sent it back as account not found. HSBC told me it was for non sufficent funds. I had plenty of money in my account. I also did not get charged a fee for non sufficent funds by my bank.
CG in Georgia said: “I got a notice saying my interest rate would be increased to 23.99%, but that if I notified them within 30 days I could close the account and keep my current rate — which I did. I even got a “return receipt” postcard to prove I did it. Nevertheless, they increased my rate to 23.99%. I called to protest and request a refund of the interest overcharge; the rep said she would look into it and call me back in a few days, which she did not. My current statement indicates I am still being charged 23.99% interest. I just filed a complaint with the BBB of Nevada.”
We received this report today, location withheld: “I enjoyed the comments that HSBC National Bank is going after watchdogs!
