EM in Tennessee says: “After paying on furniture from Rooms To Go for a couple of years, I stopped receiving bills. After applying for another card which technically I already had, I was turned down. I was turned down because HSBC had listed me as “deceased” and I now have a negative credit rating. Well that was in March 2007. It is now Oct 2007 and I’m still fighting with them about late fees and finance charges they said would not be put on my bill since it was their fault for listing me as “deceased.” Well now they are trying to charge me an extra $400 in back charges and late fees. They also continue to report me to the credit bureaus. They also call me at least 20 times a day trying to collect this extra $400 that I do not and will not pay. If you have any idea on who I should contact to try and resolve this I would appreciate it.”
JE in Ohio has this quick comment about HSBC: “Continually receiving harassing phone calls. Have paid my bill, it is not past due! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!”
JR in Ohio writes: “I purchased a motorcycle for about $10,000. I paid about $4,000 down and financed the rest through a Suzuki installment loan, which is really sold by HSBC Retail Services.
