AP in Pennsylvania said: “HSBC has been playing the no interest game with me on my Best Buy Card. I pay off the balance so that I do not get hit with the interest at the end of the promotional period. They manipulate the payment so about $2 is left on that item then nail me for the entire 18 months of interest. They have done this to me twice now. Both times they fixed the problem but as far as I am concerned this is fraud.”
PM in Massachusetts said: “I had fallen behind on my payments and called to set up a payment arrangement. I did and they told me to pay $70. a month and that would preserve my credit rating. I made the 1st payment and two days later, I got a letter from an attorney stating that they didn’t take partial payments and they wanted the whole balance. HSBC had written off my account, ruined my credit and was suing me for the balance. I had to hire an attorney to get this straightened out but my credit is ruined for 7 years because they didn’t stick to the arrangement. I wil never use HSBC again and will tell everyone I know.”

I opened it as I figured it might be a few days late by now. It was 8 days late. I called and offered to pay direct pay/bank and provided check number and routing number, etc.

I have no “fine print” with the details on this loan. The motorcycle has already been delivered to my house. No money has been exchanged. Can I go to the dealer and pay cash and get this loan reversed? The dealer does not know we called to cancel the loan. According to him the title has already been mailed to the secretary of state. Helpl”
