VW in North Carolina reports: “This is the second time in three days that I have attempted to pay my bill. It takes about an hour to find the site, if you’re fortunate. Then, after finding it, I could not pay my bill because the site would not recognize my account number. So, I am still trying to get back onto the site after sending an email to tech support. They have yet to respond to my concerns. This has been happening for about three months.”

TT reported: After my promotional rate ran out HSBC/GM card raised my interest rate to 34.24 %. I called them and was told there were no other options for me at this time and to call back later. I called a few months later and was told the same thing but also that I was not making more than my minimum payment and because a credit report indicated that I was a high risk (this was an internal decision not from a bad credit report). I have had and used my card for over 5 years and have never missed a payment although I have been late a few times. I think this is unfair and I am being taken advantage of by HSBC. I e-mailed everyone that I could find that had an e-mail address listed on line. I sent the following message:
RW in Ohio says: “I have been trying to pay a bill for about two hours and I put in hrsaccount.com and all I get is a survey. The HSBC web site won’t let me through until I take this stupid survey. I keep wondering why.”
HH in Michigan says: “I had a credit card from hsbc. The limit was $300. I was unemployed over the summer because I teach. Already miffed by the high interest rate , My bill kept rising, even though I had not used the card in a year. I made a settlement to pay off the nearly $1000, in 3 payments of $333 . I paid the first two on time the last on due July 22 , I sent $75 and a note explaining that I was unemployed and would send it off asap. They in turn sent it to collections and they kept my money and want $1000 again.”
