DJ in Oklahoma says: “I was in an auto accident in my new vehicle. I called HSBC to find out if it was possible to get another vehicle through them should current vehicle be salvaged. Within seconds, they approved another loan not explaining the way it really worked. I was then stuck with 2 vehicle payments after the insurance company decided to fix the wrecked vehicle. Payments were over $1,000.00 per month. I contacted HSBC to tell them what a mess we were in and they said we had to face repossession.

WB in Georgia exposed this HSBC claim: “My wife and I have a credit card with HSBC/Orchard Bank, we have not used our cards in a year, but have been making the minimum payments monthly as we should. Come to find out another company has taken money off the card for some type of Credit Keeper program. So with this company just taking every month and us not looking since we were not using the cards, when the yearly fee rolls around our card goes into Over Limit status. I call both Orchard Bank, who then tells me to get in contact with this other company because they are not affiliated. After talking with with a representative, come to find out that they are owned by HSBC which means they are in fact the same company. They are not willing to take the bogus charges off, even though they cannot explain to us who authorized the purchase to begin with. Mind you we have still not stopped sending in our minimum payment but now they are calling and harrassing 7 days a week. What can be done about this?”
I mailed a payment on the 1st or 2nd of month for payment due 14th of month. They (HSBC) receive the check and they do not deposit it. They wait until the 15th for it to be past due, then they charge a past due and and take the payment as electronic check for the amount i wrote the check. I have gone to an online site which is not listed anywhere to pay. I only knew about this site from customer service.
