CP in Indiana opines:  “Been trying to get on HSBCAccounts.com to pay bill online Good Luck.  No luck going thru Best Buy’s website.  As soon as my 18 months same as cash is up never again will I do business with either HSBC or BEST BUY or any company that uses these CROOKS”

I mailed my normal payment of 129.00 plus 171.00 for a total of 300.00 to HRS on 1/12/2007 as I have been doing since the first payment was due in April of 2005. For unknown reasons HRS claimed to have never received my payment by mail and sent me a late payment notice and an additional charge to my account of 35.00 as late fees. I called HRS on 2/9/2007 and spoke with a rep. about what had happened and was told to mail in the late payment plus this month’s payment (293.00) and once they received it to call back and request the late fees be reversed. I sent 600.00 by mailed on 2/9/2007 (I personally delivered this letter to the post office).

GV in Texas says:  “I am being denied a school loan because of a $2,000 uncollectable debt reported by HSBC.LV.  I am unable to identify what this relates to.”

IH in Texas says:  “My experience with HSBC has been horrific. First, I fill out their online application. Then, they send the card. I activate it. I try to use it at a store. It gets declined - I’m humiliated. I call and am told it is on a “security hold” because they want me to produce several pieces of “proof” that I am who I am. The specific documents they require are impossible for me to produce, as those bills are not in my name. I can produce plenty of documentation proving who I am; however, they’ll only accept what they want. I’m all for security, but this is ridiculous.
