JB in Illinois says:  “HRS, the issue of Costco credit cards, waits many days after statements cycle to mail out statements.  They require payment in 15 days which, with time factored in for mailing, means consumers must pay within 5-7 days.  Then, they take up to 10 days to process the payment and, in the interim, add $25 charges to your bill.  This occurs even if you pay your bill almost immediately.  Illinois Attorrney General Lias Madigan, are you awake over there?  HRS, AKA retail services, is stealing from consumers.”

DS in Washington reports:  “I have had several threatening calls from this company saying I have not paid my mortage and I would be charged a late fee. When trying to give comfirmation numbers from my Bank ( I make all payments online to keep records of when the bank pays them) they told me they did not care, their records showed I have not paid and would  not take the information. Most of the time I am speaking with someone who I can not even understand due to accent, and have been hung up on may times for asking them to repeat what they needed from me.

KP in Arkansas says: “HSBC has ruined my credit and cost me a ton of money.   Are they Predators you ask? Oh HELL yea they are. Unreal!   I have had 4 charge cards and a home equity line of credit with them.  Needless to say, they have ruined my credit and still have a lien on my house even though the loan was paid off 3 or 4 years ago. I would love to join in on class action suit or would like an attorney to contact me.”

RH in Massachusetts said:  “I am a resident and business owner in Massachusetts. During the holiday season I went to a sale at Best Buy and was given a line of credit with them, through a company known as HSBC. I was told that I wouldn’t have to worry about payments for 6 months. I received my card in the mail, where my name was misspelled, and they told me that I would have to mail them in a copy of my birth certificate to fix it. After that I heard nothing from the company- no bills, no statements, nothing until phone calls which began this past week informing me that I was overdue. I called back to address the issue, and that is where my real problems began

BA says: “Orchard Bank Card is ripping me off. They are overcharging me. I am paying an annual fee of $99 but others pay $29 or $69. They asked me for a Jan 2007 payment of $48.69 and I paid $55.55 and they charged me an overlimit fee. Please contact me or put me in contact with a class action attorney.”
